On 26 November, our Women’s Group held an event to celebrate the success of Afghan Women within the community. We were lucky to have four amazing speakers:
- Nadia Afzali, a celebrity makeup artist,
- Assiya Amini, Cofounder of Afghan Acaademy International,
- Nooreyeh Usmani & Emily Danby as DJ,
- Nedaye Zan, Project Coordinator from Mind mental health charity,
From here, we hope to establish a discussion group for women to talk about difference topics; barriers to employment, health and well-being, and educational and training opportunities.
