On May 18, 2025, the Afghan Association of London organized a major volleyball tournament as part of its ongoing activities and services for the Afghan community in London.
For the first time, 13 strong teams from across the United Kingdom participated in this event. The teams featured players from a variety of countries, giving the tournament an international flavor. The competition began at 8:00 AM and continued until 8:00 PM.
Following intense preliminary rounds, four teams advanced to the semi-finals:
London United Volleyball Team
Sagar Volleyball Team
UK Hazara Volleyball Team
Alborz Team – Afghan Association of London
The final results were as follows:
Third Place: Sagar Volleyball Team
Runner-Up: London United Volleyball Team
Champion: Alborz (Team A) – Afghan Association of London
In addition to team awards, individual honors were also presented:
Best Coach of the Tournament: Mr. Saeed Arif
Best Player of the Tournament: A young talent from the London United team
The winning teams celebrated their success with enthusiasm and joy, and many participants expressed strong interest in making this tournament an annual tradition.
